The player is mostly written in C# which is relatively easy to understand so if you looking for a project to get involved in don’t look any further. People that are willing to help out by testing new versions or answering questions from other users are also very welcome.
Next version will have support for add-ons which makes it possible for users with some programming skills to easily add new features to Kantaris. Expect to see Kantaris support for bittorrent and many different web services in the near future.
Kantaris can automatically find subtitles for you online that are a perfectly synced to the video file playing. Correct subtitles character encoding will always be identified so that all characters always look the way they should, this is a unique feature for Kantaris Media Player.
Kantaris has a cool and modern default skin which makes the player stand out but we’re also working on a new feature that is going to make it very easy to design new skins. The feature is completely unique and is going to let users make skins using only Photoshop. No need to write anything at all.
